Financial Assistance and Job Opportunities for GATE exam Aspirants

 

Gate is an online examination conducted every year means by online to test the candidates in many engineering, technology, architecture and many more undergraduates subjects. By clearing this exam candidates can secure admission in postgraduate programs like M.Tech, M.E., M.S, and Direct Ph.D. in highly reputed institutions which are funded by central government.

The seven IIT’s of India i.e. Delhi, Bombay, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Guwahati, Roorkee, and Madras jointly conduct Gate examination.


Financial Assistance-

Financially weak candidates can seek financial assistance if he performs well in gate exam and gets a good score in exam, his score may play a vital role in admission, depending on the particular institution practices, a candidate may be admitted for a program either based solely on his/her  GATE score or on the basis of the GATE score and an admission test or interview round.

For admission in a post-graduate program based on Gate score and interview round, 70% weightage to Gate score and remaining 30% to the test/interview.

There are certain non-IIT institutes which provides a stipend to the GATE qualified candidates on the basis of GATE score. But make sure those institutes where you are learning are affiliated by AICTE.

Job Opportunity-

There are some public sector undertakings like National Thermal Power Corporation, Central Electronics Limited, Rail India Technical and Economic Service, Gas Authority of India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
